What a delightful experience! I visited this charming pub with my family on a chilly Sunday afternoon, and I must say, it was a breath of fresh air. I recently visited this delightful establishment on a Friday night, and overall, it was a splendid experience. The decor is quaint, with a mixture of rustic charm and modern touches, creating a laid-back vibe. I was particularly impressed by the extensive drinks list—there are so many interesting craft beers and ciders to choose from. I went for a local ale, and it did not disappoint! The real star of the evening was the food; I ordered the fish and chips, and it was cooked to perfection. The fish was flaky and tender, while the batter was crispy without being greasy. The chips had that homemade touch that you rarely find. This place is a hidden gem! I came here after reading some wonderful reviews, and I was not disappointed. The ambiance is cosy and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long day. I ordered the steak and ale pie, and let me tell you, it was a slice of heaven! The filling was rich and hearty, and the pastry was beautifully flaky. I paired it with some hand-cut chips, which were golden and crispy. The drinks menu offers a solid selection of local beers and craft ales; I tried a lovely pale ale that perfectly complemented my meal. The only downside was that it got a bit crowded as the night progressed, which made it a tad noisy, but the energy was infectious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a warm atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning soon to explore more of the menu!
